Whether submersible mixers, long axis agitators or paddle agitators – with SUMA, you get a comprehensive concept from a single source. Benefit from perfectly matched solutions that optimally support your mixing tasks in your biogas plant.
Our German-based engineering department develops, designs and optimises all SUMA products. With the help of CFD flow simulations, the ideal positioning and number of agitators for your specific requirements is determined.
In addition, we provide technical data sheets with mounting information, illustrated assembly and repair instructions with 3D views, spare parts lists and multilingual operating instructions.
SUMA operates two test tanks in Germany to continuously optimise the performance data of the agitator blades. These test tanks are used to measure flow velocities, axial forces, pumping rates and power consumptions of different propellers – for maximum efficiency and reliability.
The propeller is one of the most important components of an agitator. The size and geometry of the blades are crucial to the performance of the agitator. Through continuous development of the propeller, we are reducing agitation times and energy consumption.
The material of the agitator blade must match the characteristics of the substrate. Depending on the aggressiveness of the medium, the appropriate material can be selected from a variety of materials: steel, galvanised, painted, hardened, as well as several stainless steels.

After a detailed test phase, SUMA offers POM protection as an additional safeguard against long-fibre materials. The protection effectively prevents abrasion damage under the bushing of the propeller.

The protective clamp is available for many SUMA agitators and can easily be retrofitted.
